Endorsements and Reviews

Janet Ruth has produced a group study that is wrapped in a unique and effective exterior. It introduces many of the prominent interpretations of varying theological topics in the Bible, and then gives the reader space to think about them, research them, discuss them, and draw their own conclusions. All of this is done in a way that breaks down the more technical aspects of the arguments into easy to understand summaries. Guidance is gently offered where errors occur in interpretation, but room is also given to create and form opinions within the boundaries of the discussion. Overall, this is a study that will open the door for many students of the Bible to dig deeper in their understanding of the Bible and finding answers to life’s larger questions.”

Everyone thinks through it, feels through it, and dreams through it, but too many people don’t know what it is, much less develop it and then use it effectively and consistently. This “it” is worldview—the framework, the basic assumptions, the foundational ideas, the lens through which we make sense of and live in the world. In her book Finding Your Part in God’s Master Story, Janet Ruth provides readers with the tools they need to understand the Christian faith through worldview glasses. This approach will help readers better grasp Christianity, especially its essentials, and gain better ways to work through their own view of Christianity and its application to their lives and beyond. Ruth has provided a potential game-changer. Read it. Use it. Your life will be better for it.”

Great for teaching world view to homeschoolers or small groups. This is a well-written book – clear, concise, and easy to read. I like that Ms. Ruth gives the information and allows the reader to decide. I believe anyone who is truly examining worldview will come to the cross of Christ and be changed.

Does the world need another book on Christian worldview? Is it reasonable to expect that an easy-to-read, 150pp book will capture something new and novel regarding worldview? In the case of this book, a resounding “Yes”!

Northwest Christian School is the largest Christian school in the state of Arizona and we see our share of Biblical worldview books. Upon first cracking this one open, honestly, I expected more of the same. However, in just a few pages, I could see that Janet Ruth had approach worldview in a highly engaging manner, providing clear points of cultural relevance that would enable students of all ages to clearly understand applicability. She doesn’t compromise the content to allow for a substandard understanding of diverse worldviews. Rather, she culturally contextualizes the worldviews so that their definitions transcend the written page, awakening a clear understanding for students, enabling them to understand how worldview informs belief and belief informs decisions…leading to a clear understanding that our worldviews have consquences.

I am really looking forward to putting this book in front of our students and their families! I earnestly believe that students of ever age, including this old man, will drawn down valuable insights.

In her book, Finding Your Part in God’s Master Story, author Janet Ruth explores Christian world views using the amazing template of story-writing. ‘God is a master storyteller, and we are part of His story. If we are to understand our place in that story, every part of the story matters—the beginning, the middle, and the end.’ I liked and appreciated her theology and the unique slant of this book.” I highly recommend it.
